2010 CRUDE OIL GLOBAL TRADE

After two years of decline, crude oil imports rose by 2.1% in 2010
. They were driven by Chinese imports, which rose dramatically (+18%) to meet strong demand and accounted for 80% of this increase.

Among net exporting regions, Latin America improved its position, doubling Brazilian exports and increasing Mexican exports by 20%. In CIS, surplus only increased by 0.6% due to a slight reduction in Russian exports of oil.
